Preparation for consultation
The Word document "Preparation for consultation" will be sent by e-mail. Here you can write down everything you want to say about your situation
After filling it in, please e-mail the document to 'mail@medischbegeleider.nl' so that the assistant can already process the information in the file
That way, before the consultation starts, I can read through all the necessary information and we don't waste time on it
Route information can be found at 'Contact us' where a google map is visible
How long or how short and how extensively you answer the questions is up to you. Don't fill in what you don't know
If you do not have an email, please bring it if you are coming for the first time
Then, as a starting point vh research process, a few drops of blood are taken from a finger for microscopic examination.
Normal processing time is at least 5 working days (by the way, if an invoice has been mailed to you by RP sanitas, then you know that the result has been produced and that it has almost always, subsequently been sent to our mailbox as well)
To make an appointment for blood sampling (from a finger), call the front desk on 020 - 30 39 220
Mon-Fri : 9.30 a.m.-4 p.m., Wed 10.30 a.m.-4 p.m.
1st consultation:
The results of the blood test (called SKB test) are discussed during the first consultation. Possibly together with e.g. results of the lab tests of the GP or hospital.
And the following happens::
- interpretation of result(s)
- designing ve 1st treatment scheme with the right resources (which is completely tailored to your current situation) adapted to sensitivities, allergies, assessed capacity of the physical and psychological system combined with the stresses of daily life
- adapting vh treatment schedule to the information recorded during the interview
- A check to investigate any adverse interactions between pharmaceutical medication (prescribed from the hospital and GP) and natural remedies, if any
Preparations with which to treat:
If necessary, pharmaceutical drugs will be used and you will be given a prescription for the pharmacy
Mostly, however, so-called phytochemicals will be used (= not the same as homeopathic/ phytotherapeutic/ orthomolecular)
This is a class of agents with substances made from herbs and plants that at the same time have (almost) the power of pharmaceutical drugs, but not the side effects of those drugs
The aim is to restore the body's ecosystem by restoring balances and not by blockage (as with pharmaceutical drugs)
Phytochemicals do not cause blockages in the body, but normalise the body's own regulatory mechanisms (without inadvertently 'triggering' the body's negative biofeedback system). However, it may turn out that the liver in particular, cannot cope with the requested, and goes into protest
Unpleasant symptoms in the body (people then think of 'side effects'):
Therapy according to the methodology of Functional Medicine does not cause any side effects like pharmaceutical drugs in "conventional" medicine can do
However, because in both methods the effect of drug intake is expressed by the body via the same language of the body, confusion arises (i.e. with physical signs, symptoms: e.g. fatigue, pain, general malaise, skin rash, itching, fluid retention, pain in joints, increase in temperature, etc.).
How soon can improvement be expected and how long will the whole process take
Since no one can 'interview' your body beforehand how it thinks it will react to the preparations taken, I will ask questions about this during the 2nd follow-up consultation. This allows me to adjust to each body and its responses.
There are people who notice noticeable changes as early as 1 week, others do not notice anything until the 2nd schedule. This is because the organ work at different intensities, certain enzymes work differently (DNA differences between people) and in different strengths, the indoor environment may be affected differently, the detoxification organs may differ in strength
Total treatment time ranges from 2 months to two years. The older one is, the less vital, the more stressed or traumatised, the slower it can be
– Perception burdenIf the symptoms (physical and/or psychological) are so bad that you can no longer cope or cannot (no longer) combine them with normal daily life: in any case, start by reducing your dose by half. If this still doesn't help, reduce the frequency of intake. See also the note in RED at the bottom of the treatment schedule.
If this too does not help then stop the intake and report it to the assistant by email at 'mail@medischbegeleider.nl'
Don't be alarmed by it either! It is pretty much a normal occurrence in the way the brain and body react. On the contrary, it is a sign that the body is responding and ready to go to work for your
– You feel like things are only getting worse instead of better:
the complaints in the body have developed over time, one after the other. That means so many food sources, repair mechanisms have been consumed before that
Over time, the body pulled it less and less to get rid of all the symptoms
The moment you come here and are given supplements, those supplements will start performing tasks to fix that again, but cost themselves ALSO energy and nutrients
And that's where the shoe pinches: you were already in a deficit situation but now there is an extra demand for nutrients and energy!
Then, of necessity, the body has to go even more into debt/'in the red' to perform the requested work with energy that wasn't actually there already
It's about the same as the situation at home, when that washing machine and dryer or the car break down and need to be replaced immediately, but the salary doesn't come for a few weeks AND the savings balance is zero and so you are TIMELY more in the red/deeper in debt
Give the body time to overcome that!
Intermediate communication (email, phone) with all kinds of questions during the treatment period: in principle, please collect them until the next consultation: write them down and ask them at the beginning of the consultation, because then we have plenty of time. E-mailing back and forth (because communication by e-mail is slow and not suitable for a conversation) does not go very well and leads to an overload for the assistant and for me and when we fall ill or drop out, we are of no use to anyone, right?
For all of you it may seem 'just a short question', but for us it means this: opening the file, reading the history, retrieving and looking at the latest results and/or the current treatment schedule (course of treatment), thinking about it, writing something about it in the file, translating it into plain language in the answer back..... and then often receiving a follow-up question via e-mail and then the cycle starts all over again....
We usually spend up to half an hour doing that. Within the multitude of work, it just doesn't work out to keep doing that for many people. I hope you can understand that: we would like to, but just can't
– Not (able to) arrive on time due to traffic conditions or public transport: you don't need to call, because at the time the consultation starts I will start processing the results anyway and then create a (new) cure, treatment schedule.
We will only call if you have not arrived after more than 15 minutes
– Earlier schedule finished: the cure and the next appointment are not for a while: that is not a problem because the drugs used are of natural origin: the body absorbs them and distributes them to all parts of the body, even far away, and that takes time. Moreover, the duration of action is longer than that of pharmaceutical drugs
– The schedule has not yet gone through when the next appointment is already upcoming: that's not necessarily a bad thing, because if you are already over 2/3 of the time, corresponding to week 6 or 7, then most of the intended effect has already been able to be reasonably achieved to make testing and showing up for the consultation, functional
– The drug has already run out, but there are still crosses in the schedule for the next week/weeks: at the bottom of the schedule that after the word "NOTE" , which you never have to catch up with; we notice that more than once these words are not read, but then quite a lot of e-mails and phone calls go about this
Again: if something is used up earlier than indicated in the schedule: it doesn't matter, because what matters is that the contents of the bottle, the amount that was in the sachets, etc. has been absorbed into the body and that's what matters in the end
– Test results are not in yet: the consultation is coming up but the results of the blood test or intestinal test etc. are not in yet: just come to the consultation anyway. The test result is important but is only half the consultation! The interview in which you tell what happened to the body and the psyche during and after the treatment is also crucial to be able to put the test result into context later on
– Submitting a test on time: stool test (> 14 working days), a saliva test (3-4wkn), a hair test (4wkn), finger blood test (SKB test)(5-10 working days) ensures that we have the best chance of getting the result on time. When sending tests to the laboratory: please check that the enclosed application form is also included, otherwise the test will be rejected in advance
– Picking up supplements or a blood draw appointment: in front of the building, you can leave your car on the road for 10 minutes with double blinkers on. Times: call first to be sure on 020 - 30 39 220
Provided the assistant is not on leave or sick of course
– Cancel ve appointment: make sure at least 48h before the consultation that cancellation is desired, as this will allow someone else on the waiting list to benefit from it
– Payment of invoices: is done at the counter with a QR code that connects to your App from your own bank. If that fails, an invoice will accompany it and I would encourage everyone to pay the invoices on time (after 10 days at the latest)
This can be deviated from on an individual basis by mutual agreement!
Unfortunately, it still happens in (too) many cases, that no payment has been received after a month. This costs us extra time: to keep track and check. Something that is basically unnecessary.
And at the same time, it seems obvious to me that you don't want the person helping you to have to go after it yourself to make sure the amount due comes in, right?
– Reachable by phone: on Thursdays, weekends, school holidays and holidays of the assistant and practitioner:
a tape indicating that we are not available by phone is on. No message can be left.
The request is then to send an email to "mail@medischbegeleider.nl" if you feel necessary. When the desk is open again, the email will be dealt with as a priority and also in chronological order and if necessary, submitted to me as well
– Parking vd car: this can be done 3 minutes' walk from our building near Kringloopwinkel Rataplan (Generatorstraat 10).
Indeed, at the Zekeringstraat branch, we could not rent additional spaces due to a lack of open parking spaces.
After parking: walk under the metro track towards our office at 32 Zekeringstraat where we are located on the 2nd floor.
Should it happen that after the sliding glass door, the 1st inner door on the ground floor does not open:
Step 1: first really push the door handle all the way down: sometimes this does not happen and it looks like the door is locked
Step 2: call the front desk (020 - 30 39 220)
And for those who still want to try it first to walk 30 sec, 100m away from the back of our building (on the Dynamo Street side) try to park the car for free: who can try it on the narrow road between two buildings where the reddish building of Deloitte Cybercentre is on the left and T&A Survey on the right, in an unmarked spot (keep a close watch yourself to see if you are really allowed to stand in the spot you decide to stand in! We cannot take responsibility for this)
